ARTMADE is a vibrant and forward-thinking company committed to celebrating and showcasing incredible art.

Our mission is to create a dynamic platform that elevates both emerging and established artists by curating and publishing their works in exquisitely designed art books. Each book is a visual journey through diverse themes, offering readers a unique and immersive artistic experience.

But that's not all ARTMADE also arranges exhibitions and acts as an online artist network. Join us as we explore the boundless creativity and passion of our local artists, bringing their remarkable works to a wider audience.

Where it started

Welcome to 'ARTMADE'

I'm Harriet Placey, the founder of 'ARTMADE'. My journey in the world of art began at the University of Brighton, where I earned a bachelor's degree in Fine Art. During my time there, I immersed myself in various artistic disciplines, honing my skills and developing a deep appreciation for the diverse forms of creative expression.

After graduation, I continued to pursue my own artistic practice, creating works that explore a wide range of themes and mediums. In parallel with my personal artistic endeavours, I have had the privilege of working with the Down Syndrome Development Trust. This experience has not only enriched my understanding of the power of art in personal development but also reinforced my commitment to inclusivity and community engagement.

One of my key strengths is impeccable organisation, a skill that has been invaluable in managing both my artistic practice and professional responsibilities. This organisational prowess has also been crucial in founding and driving ArtMade, ensuring that every project we undertake is executed with precision and care.

My vision for ARTMADE is to create art books that present both unestablished and established artworks in new and interesting formats. I believe that art should be accessible and celebrated, and through our publications, I aim to showcase the incredible talent of artists from various backgrounds and styles. By doing so, I hope to inspire, educate, and connect people through the universal language of art.

Thank you for visiting ARTMADE. I am excited to share this journey with you and bring you closer to the vibrant world of contemporary art. Together, let's celebrate the beauty, diversity, and creativity that art brings to our lives.
